Peanut, Popcorn and Chocolate Protein Squares made with no added sugar JimJams Chocolate Spread

No Bake Peanut, Popcorn & Choc Protein Squares

Ingredients

Half a cup of Peanuts
75g Jumbo Raisins
75g Cashew Nuts
10 Dried Dates
1 Jar of 83% Less Sugar Hazelnut Chocolate Spread (3 tbsp required to add to mixture and 2 tbsp required for drizzle topping)
11g Popcorn
2 tbsp Date Syrup (could use honey)

Method

  1. Blitz together all of the above ingredients in a food blender but keep back a very small handful of peanuts and popcorn.

  1. Tip the firm mixture into a parchment lined tin.

  1. Push the mixture down firmly with hands to flatten and harden.

  1. Chop up the remaining nuts and break up the popcorn – sprinkle over the top of the mixture and press firmly in.

  1. Warm 2 tbsp of 83% Less Sugar Hazelnut Chocolate Spread in a microwave for 30 seconds and drizzle over top of mixture.

  2. Place in fridge for 4 hours.

  3. Cut into slices (We cut fairly big squares of around 2.5 inches each side and the mixture makes around 6 of these.Β  However, these are quite big so you would get double the amount if you cut into smaller bars).
